Way More Than $5 – What Is the Average Cost of a Margarita in Colorado?
Sure, Cinco de Mayo is a major holiday when it comes to margaritas, but they are wildly popular throughout the year. Maybe that's why Coloradans are paying more in 2023, than they did in 2022.
A good old fashioned margarita, a "marg," can be just what the doctor ordered on many occasions: Because it's the weekend, because it's not the weekend, because it's summer, because it's not summer. You get it. Folks that live in Colorado are paying more than the national average for a marg, but at least we're not paying the most.
It goes without saying that margaritas are popular; they are #1 in sales for cocktails most every year. Is it the tequila, is it the mix, or is it just the "celebratory" feel of a margarita that makes us all crave one? Most people have their own favorite place to get a margarita, and we pay what they charge- there is no haggling on a marg.

WHERE DOES COLORADO STAND ON THE LIST?
Colorado lands within the "higher than the average" range. I don't think that comes a big surprise, if you've been out for a marg, lately. At least they're not has high as New Jersey, but they're definitely not as low as Alabama. Colorado's average cost for a margarita is $10.54.

I think it comes down to the experience: If you're paying over $11 for a margarita in Colorado, it had better be a fun time. If you've found a place in the state where the cost of a marg is only $8, you've struck gold and should live it up.
