The Weld County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating an incident in which two suspects stole an SUV from a residence, and then proceeded to use a debit card left in the vehicle to make purchases in Greeley.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on January 25, deputies were called to a home in the 13900 block of Weld County Road 19, after the owner had reported that a 2006 GMC Yukon Denali had been stolen from the property.

The owner of the Denali informed deputies that her daughter had been the last one to use the car, and left it parked in the driveway at about 5 p.m. on Sunday (January 24).

It's believed that the gray SUV was taken sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, as the owner called police when she first noticed it missing. Two suspects are reportedly involved.

The daughter's credit card, which was in the stolen vehicle, was used to buy cigarettes and lighters at Juggy's Food Mart. The card was later used to buy a five-gallon pail of kerosene from a Greeley Cenex gas station.

Managers of the Cenex were able to provide law enforcement with security camera footage, which revealed a female suspect in possession of the stolen Denali at the gas station.

Deputies were not able to get a description of the male suspect.

Anyone with information about the stolen Denali, or who recognizes the woman in the photos,  is asked to call Weld Non-Emergency Dispatch at (970) 356-4000 and ask for Deputy Alex Fischer.
