Colorado Parks and Wildlife are (once again) warning residents about the hungry bears waking up from hibernation across the front range after a bear was caught on video near a home.

In a tweet, Colorado Parks and Wildlife reminded residents that "It's springtime, which means hungry bears are coming out of hibernation." They went on to say that trash, bird feeders, pet food, and livestock feed should all be stored in a secured area, as they often lure the bears close to human habitation.

The warning was prompted after a black bear was caught on video a little too close for comfort in the Franktown area east of Castle Rock.
