[WATCH] Adorable Elk Plays Soccer With Kids in Colorado

Have you ever seen wildlife play with kids before? I know I have not and wouldn't have believed it if it wasn't captured on video. The interaction between a cow elk and two children was caught on video when the elk was seen playing soccer in Evergreen, Colorado.

AccuWeather shared the video originally posted by Shira Moffatt on TikTok has nearly 75,000 likes of the children playing with the elk. Two other cow elk are standing on the hill near the Colorado home watching the elk playfully send the ball back down the hill before the boys return it to the elk and it chases the ball.

The two children remained at a distance from the trio of elk on the hill as they were being recorded by what we assume were the parents. While this particular elk was being playful, the large animals can be dangerous and have been known to attack humans during certain times of the year.

One Estes Park playground is closed until further notice due to an attack on a child from a cow elk during calving season. Calving season is typically when cow elk can become aggressive to protect their offspring. Bull elk are known to charge and even gore people who get too close during the rut which takes place in the fall.
