Well, before I get ahead of myself, it's not exactly 'the' Air Force One but it did carry several presidents, vice presidents, secretary of state among other government officials.

The U.S. Government has recently put up the DC-9 Jetliner for auction that has served as an Air Force One over the past 40 years.

It's not the massive 747 that generally would carry the president and if you do plan on bidding on the plane don't expect anything to luxurious... after all it is 40 years old. However if you are an aviation nerd, it would be pretty cool to own this piece of history.

So how much is an airplane that has served as an Air Force One for nearly a half century? $50,000 is the price-tag on this piece of avionic memorabilia.

If you were interested you can go check out the plane yourself. But first you would have to get yourself to Mesa, AZ before it goes up for sale.
