University of Colorado Calls on Medical Students Before Graduation For COVID-19 Fight
Are you a student at the University of Colorado School of Medicine? You may have the opportunity to graduate early this year.
The Denver Post reported that there are talks of "early medical school graduation", as concern about Colorado's healthcare system grows statewide.
As hundreds of people flood Colorado's hospitals, experts worry that our medial workers are becoming overwhelmed as they work long hours with sometimes insufficient equipment. Allowing students who are already in their final year of schooling to join the fight may help ease the workload on many overworked healthcare professionals.
As of right now, the Post reports that CU's Anschutz Medical Campus is "reviewing the possibility", so we'll continue to report with any updates.
