U.S. City to Get RoboCop Statue With Fan Funding

Artists in Detroit, Michigan are wanting to create a sculpture of RoboCop. They raised money via Facebook and Twitter for funding to create statute from the 1987 movie. The group of artists collected $50,000 for the project.
The reasoning behind it all is that the artist thought it would be a funny idea. There is still no plans to where it is i going to be displayed in the city. Even if the city does not approve it to be displayed on city property, there are offers from private owners who want to display it on their land.
It is amazing how Facebook and Twitter bring people together for a cause and how many people are fans of the RoboCop character.
