If you're looking to save spots at the Greeley Stampede Independence Day Parade this year, good luck. You'll have less time to claim your spot than in years past.

The University of Northern Colorado is cutting the time to save spots before the parade from a week to just 3 days, the Greeley Tribune reports. So this year, spot saving  begins Friday, July 1, with the parade taking place the following Monday.

Last year, spot savers were given a week to save spots. UNC hopes the time cut will help to maintain the landscapin along 10th Avenue.

The near-100th annual parade will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, July 4, running north along 10th Avenue from 19th Street and ending on 5th Street beyond Lincoln Park.
