First off I want to say thank you to Eric and the crew from the Windsor Fire Department that responded to this call and the dispatcher on the other end of the call. I felt kind of dumb calling it in because I dialed 911, when I should have just called dispatch. The tree wasn't totally on fire but it was burning pretty good at one point. Driving back from Chippers lanes on 257, a few miles north of 74,  we noticed that there was a tree on fire randomly on the side of the road. Like I said it wasn't engulfed in flames it was just burning a little, but there was dry grass around it, so the potential was there. I felt dumb calling 911 because it wasn't really an emergency and I should have just called dispatch, but oh well it got taken care of.

Have you ever called 911 when it wasn't really necessary?
