With a trip to the state championship on the line, Zack Rakowksy stepped up from the Loveland backfield.
The senior running back rushed for 181 yards and a touchdown in Loveland's 20-14 Class 4A semifinals win over Dakota Ridge. He's this week's Townsquare Media High School MVP.
No. 4 seeded Loveland will face No. 2 Palmer Ridge at 6 p.m. on Friday at CSU-Pueblo. While fan attendance will be drastically limited, you can follow along for free with our live Prep Scoreboard.
Loveland is likely to continue leaning on Rakowsky. He's gained 1,224 rushing yards this season and has been part of 19 total touchdowns — 16 rushing, 2 passing and 1 receiving.
