3 Men Arrested in Connection with Shooting Near Fossil Ridge High School
Three men have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a juvenile near Fossil Ridge High School.
Police were called to the 4700 block of Lady Moon Drive around 11:48 p.m. on January 4 after receiving a report about a shooting.
There, they found a 17-year-old with a non-fatal gunshot wound. He told police that someone shot him while he was walking around.
After a thorough investigation, officers discovered that the incident was not random. The teenager was actually shot during an attempted robbery near County Fair Lane.
Three adults were arrested in connection with the shooting, according to a press release from the City of Fort Collins.
Jaquil Ellis, 20, is facing charges including Attempted 1st Degree Murder and Attempted Aggravated Robbery.
Anthony Hammer, 20, is facing charges including Attempt to Influence a Public Servant and Possession of a Weapon by Previous Offender.
Andrew Herrera, 19, has been charged with Attempted Aggravated Robbery.
Three juveniles, including the one who was shot, are also facing charges. Their names will not be released.
