Northern Colorado law enforcement works hard day and night to keep our cities and towns safe. Whether they're assisting citizens or fighting crime, their jobs are anything but easy.
One of their challenges is tracking down suspects on the Most Wanted list. The Larimer County Sheriff's Office continually updates their Most Wanted list, giving citizens the chance to provide any information, such as the whereabouts or other details, regarding any of the alleged criminals.
This week, Larimer County's most wanted is Stephen Thomas Walter Stebnitz.
Stebnitz is wanted by the Larimer County Sheriff's Office on multiple felony warrants. His first warrant is for Failure to Appear – 1st Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft / Menacing / DUR / Habitual Criminal. He has a $5,000 bond for this case. His second felony warrant is for Failure to Appear - Forgery-Check/Commercial Instrument. His bond for this case is $200.
In addition, the suspect is wanted by another local agency for Failure to Appear – Domestic Violence / 2nd Degree Assault – Strangulation / 3rd Degree Assault / Habitual Criminal / Controlled Substance / Resist Arrest / Violation of Protection Order / Forgery / Possess Illegal Weapon / DUR.
The suspect is 5-feet-9 and 190 pounds. He has blonde hair with blue eyes. Stebnitz has been known to go by the aliases of Lil-Nutty and Blaze.
Police say Stebnitz is a transient in the Fort Collins area.
