Ahhh Girl Scout cookies, we all love that time of year when the girls are standing in front of the grocery stores selling a plethora of sweet sweet goodness in that little rectangle box! Be prepared though, you could be spending more on your Thin Mint fix in the future. The price of Girl Scout cookies are are increasing 25% making each box $5 each going in effect for the Los Angles area, San Diego, Hawaii and eastern Massachusetts. As of yet, the price increase wont hit us in Northern Colorado... I just want to throw heavy emphasis on the word "yet".

Why the price hike? Tammy Gentry, VP of Marketing for Girls Scouts of California's Central Coast said "the price increase is an opportunity to offset natural price increases for running the cookie program, from the cost of raw materials and bakery production to transportation".

If there happens to be a price increase on Girl Scout cookies in Northern Colorado in the future, will you still buy a box? I think I would have to! I get to support the Girls Scouts of America and I get my box of Thin Mints... I don't share them with anyone, don't judge me for being selfish and go get your own box!
