Another thing from California that Coloradans aren't super stoked about: wildfire smoke. It feels like it's been weeks since we've been able to see the Rocky Mountains (Maybe it has been?). And, according to the National Weather Service, the next few days could be even smokier.

On Wednesday, the National Weather Service said that a 'thick band of smoke' would arrive along the Front Range by Thursday. On Thursday morning, the National Weather Service added that a weather pattern 'will bring much more smoke to Colorado over the next few days.' The smoke is coming to us from the Northwest, as major wildfires burn in Northern California, Oregon and Canada.

It's not the news we want heading into a summer weekend, but it may not be a great time to be outdoors, especially if you are considered to be in a sensitive groups category. In the tweet below, you can see the path of the smoke goes right over Fort Collins.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Denver area had the sixth-worse air quality in the entire world, and the worst in the Western Hemisphere, in terms of major cities, at least.

Below, you can see photos from the City of Fort Collins' air quality webcam located at New Belgium Brewing. Not only has it been a while since we've seen Longs Peak, but you can barely even see the 'A'.
