According to Business insider there are only 10 things in the world more popular than Facebook. Just 10. They originally started to compile a list of the 100 things bigger than Facebook, but turned out to be darn near impossible.  Read more to see the whole list.

Facebook has 650 million users, to be bigger than that, something would have to be a global phenomenon. Tops on this list, Hinduism, Islam, and Catholicism. Microsoft, Google, and Walmart also made the list. (I seem to have been overlooked, somehow.  Maybe I should start a "Beano: Bigger Than Facebook" campaign) Ha ha, in all seriousness though, 650 million users?  That is simply astounding.

Here is the full top ten list from BusinessInsider.com of thing that ARE, in fact, bigger than Facebook :

"Hinduism: There are about 950 million Hindus in the world.

Islam: There are 1.57 billion Muslims in the world.

Catholicism: 1.166 billion people call themselves Catholic.

The Movies: Americans alone bought 970 million movie tickets last year.

Chinese New Year: 700 million people traveled somewhere to celebrate the Chinese New Year this year.

Microsoft: There are 2 billion PCs out there. Most of them run Windows. Also, comScore says 800 million people visit Microsoft Web sites each month.

The World Cup: 700 million people watched the World Cup final live on TV.

Chilean Miners: One billion people watched coverage of the Chilean mining rescue.

Walmart: 200 million people go to Walmart every week.

Google: comScore says almost a billion people visit Google each month."
