The World’s Most Expensive Purse

How much would you pay for a really nice purse? Fifty bucks? A hundred bucks? Maybe three hundred? Well, break out the plastic ladies and gents because this thing will set you back a cool 3.8 million dollars!

The Guinness Book of World Records has acknowledged that the “The Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse” is the most expensive purse in the world. The heart-shaped bag is encrusted with more than four thousand diamonds, adding up to nearly 382 carats. The purse was handcrafted from 18karat gold and took over four months and 1,100 hours to create.

3.8 Million dollars for a purse? I think I’m going to be sick! I know a few women that have purse obsessions, closets full of them. Women that seem to buy a new purse almost every week. But a 3.8 million dollar purse is beyond ridiculous, in my book at least.

I suppose they are marketing it as jewelry more than as a handbag, but 3.8 million for a piece of jewelry doesn't make me feel much better.
