We all know that Northern Colorado is near the top of the list in the country for the most restaurants per capita, but that doesn't mean that we aren't going to crave some food that we don't have accessible to us in the area.

In the past, we've asked our readers want restaurants they wish were within a short driving distance from their house and the answers that we got were extensive. So here is the list of the top five restaurants that still aren't in Northern Colorado according to our listeners in the region.

Never had BBQ from Rudy's before? If you don't get down to Colorado Springs often than you may be part of a large majority. Rudy's is a perfect example of "self serve BBQ" without the pressure of having someone push their latest brisket or sausage creation on you continuously. The atmosphere both inside and outside feels comfortable, and the food is amazing.

Of course, the nearest one is on Highway 24 heading out of Colorado Springs to Manitou so unless you want to take the two hour road trip, you'll only have to hope they build one off of Interstate 25 soon.

Mmmmm...want to crack into some crab legs and taste the great flavor? Joe's Crab Shack is perfect for that, with their wide selection of crab legs and the steampots they offer on a daily basis. The closest Joe's is in Westminster so not too far away. But it would be so much better if Downtown Greeley or Fort Collins offered the ability to jump into the steampot craze!

Admittedly, I have never tried an In-N-Out Burger so I have never understood what the craze is about. But I hear from people who have tried it before that this would be at the top of their list for a restaurant that they want to see move into the Northern Colorado region. From looking at their menu and the pictures of their food, I think I can totally understand where the craze is coming from.

I'll admit that this is a personal favorite of mine, and a great place for a couple to escape to on a Friday or Saturday night without the kids. Their drinks are AWESOME, and their food is even better. Are you a fan of onion rings? Their Onion Ring stack is one of the biggest in the business. Unfortunately, their nearest locations to Northern Colorado are in Chicago and Las Vegas.

But we can start a campaign to get them here right?

So Cheesecake Factory in reality is part of Northern Colorado, but it's in Boulder. So does it REALLY count?

They are the home of Glamburgers, Steaks, and some of the best desserts in the business. Plus they offer a Sunday brunch at many of their locations. Cheesecake Factory has always been at the top of the list when listeners are asked what they think needs to come to NoCo. I think I could find some great locations in Fort Collins or Loveland to put one!
