Meat Eater used 'hashtag and location tag data available from Instagram, Busbud, and USA Today,' to find the most Instagrammed outdoor places in each of the 50 states. And, it's not really surprising that Rocky Mountain National Park was the most-popular outdoor location to wind up on our Insta grids, for obvious reasons.

Rocky Mountain National Park, which just turned 106 years old, continues to be one of the most-visited national parks in the United States. In 2019, it had over 4.6 million visitors. 2020 was a unique year, because COVID-19 pandemic restrictions impacted visitor capacity, and the park was partially burned by the East Troublesome Fire. The park is now reopen, and still a gorgeous backdrop for hikes, dogs, pineapples(?) and weddings.

Like Colorado, Wyoming's most-Instagrammed location is also a national park — Yellowstone.
