It's been a while since a lot of us here in Northern Colorado have experienced a concert. We've been relying on virtual shows to get our fix, but nothing can take the place of being in the audience: However, thanks to the pandemic, that's been nearly impossible for at least a year.

What would be the closest thing to the action? Being in the audience of a movie theater, of course.

That's the idea behind The Lyric Theater's latest showing, planned for April 17: A screening of The Lumineer's new concert film, "The Lumineers: Live from the Artists Den."

According to the event description on Facebook,

In 2016 The Lumineers returned to their former home of Brooklyn, NY for an unforgettable taping of Live from the Artists Den at the majestic Kings Theatre. Four years later in a special limited-run, the band will release the full show, with three unreleased tracks, and never before seen interview footage.

This film is paired with the band's intimate studio album III.

The Lumineers are a folk band based in Denver, Colorado, with ties to Northern Colorado as well, so this concert film may even feel like seeing old friends again.
