Taylor Swift Wins Best Female Video at 2013 MTV VMAs, Shades Harry Styles in Acceptance Speech
Winning the Moonman for Best Female Video? Awesome! Getting to shade your ex in front of the entire world? Priceless! Taylor Swift is having a good night at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, everybody!
Swift won the Moonman for the Harry Styles-inspired 'I Knew You Were Trouble' -- and got to rub it in the One Direction's star's face at the same time!
After her win was announced, Taylor received joyous hugs from Selena Gomez -- sending congratulatory vibes right back to her bestie -- as well as her video co-star Reeve Carney. She walked the runway to the stage in her slinky, elegant, slit-in-the-back twinsies gown with Selena, and accepted her shiny Moonman from glittery moonmen Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and producer Nile Rodgers.
"Hi! Oh my God, thank you. Wow, I'm such a huge fan of yours," she said, looking in Pharrell's direction.
"I want to thank the fans because I tweeted about this a lot."
"I really, really wanted this and thank you so much for doing this for me," Swift continued. "I feel really lucky because I have both the video director, Anthony Mandler, and my co-star, Reeve Carney, here tonight, and I'm so happy that they're here. And this is just awesome."
Also awesome? What T. Swizzle said next:
"I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these," she said, holding her award. "Thank you so much!"
The camera quickly cut to the members of 1D applauding in the audience. A gum-chewing Styles could barely suppress a smile.
