The water at Windsor Lake is off limits until further notice due to toxic algae.

There’s a riprap project scheduled for Monday, October 15 through Friday, Oct. 19, along the west side of Windsor Lake, near the lake’s northern edge.

Anyone who lived in the town of Windsor prior to May 22, 2008 can tell you that the town used to have more trees. Today, members of the once-devastated community are still working to restore, rebuild and replant what the mile-wide tornado took away from them seven years ago.

Tomorrow (Thursday July 11th, 2013) could be a great day to go check out Windsor Lake. According to the Town of Windsor's Facebook page they will be giving out FREE rentals of kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, paddle boards and aqua trikes. Nice!

Great news for anyone who has had a hankering to cool down in Windsor Lake, this afternoon The Town of Windsor and the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment have determined that Windsor Lake is safe to reopen to the public.

Every time I have gone by Windsor Lake this summer it has been packed with people enjoying the swim beach. But there is some bad news for anyone who wants to swim in the lake or go boating in the near future. Windsor Lake is closed until further notice. Read more to find out why.
