Three tornadoes touched down in northeastern Colorado yesterday. Two touched down in Morgan County near the town of Brush and another touched down in Weld County.
We are now in the season of severe weather that can hit all of Northern Colorado, and it looks like the weather for Tuesday afternoon is going to be no different.
Two tornadoes touched down near Berthoud last night destroying three homes and damaging at least 12 structures. A shelter was opened by the Red Cross at the Berthoud Community Center in the Town of Berthoud.

Around 2 pm Wednesday afternoon, a funnel cloud developed west of Cheyenne, just north of I-80. The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning which expired before 2:30 pm.
Over the last few days we here in Colorado have been reminded in a hurry that it's tornado season with watches warnings, and even touch downs near us. Although we aren't in the Kansas, Oklahoma "Tornado Alley" area, Colorado is still very prone to produce a twister or two this time of year.
