Fort Collins, also referred to as The Choice City, is known for its famous Old Town district (that even influenced Disney Land's Main Street in California). The town has both a rich history, with houses and buildings lasting from the 1800s as well as modern outposts like The Exchange, a shopping, drinking and eating mecca.
Fort Collins is also home to Colorado State University, established in the city in 1879. The school is a land-grant university that now annual houses over 24,000 students on average.
