Ski season might've technically kicked off last month, but several Colorado ski areas will be opening for the first time this season this week.

Nowadays there are quite a few ways to successfully descend to the bottom of a ski run. Some of them look pretty pretentious and probably more expensive than they're worth. This is just brilliant.

A big storm is brewing that could dump over a foot of snow in the mountains.

One of the things I love most about living in Colorado is it's awesome to take a short trip that's not far - but a world away at the same time.  And if you're someone who doesn't have the time or money for a traditional week-long vacation flyaway, to me THAT's one of the top perks of living here...

For skiers and snowboarders, it's never too early to start thinking about winter on the mountain. To help get snow lovers pumped for the season, Teton Gravity Research is throwing a winter kick-off party at the Aggie on Wednesday, October 12, featuring a rail jam, all sorts of prizes, and a showing of their latest action-packed film, "Tight Loose."

UFO sightings are pretty common in Colorado. In fact, there were 5 sightings reported in the first week of May alone.
