Halloween is that one time of the year where it's okay to go all-out and wear a risque (a.k.a. slutty) costume. And while we all love to make fun of girls in those costumes (girls are so catty, aren't we?), it looks like wearing one of those skanky costumes can actually help you find love (even if just for one night)...

I spent most of my weekend in Aurora for the first ever Rocky Mountain Con (A comic, gaming, anime, toy and sci-fi convention). If you know me at all, you know I'm into just about all that is geek and I probably dress up more than than I should. I just have a lot of fun at these type of things and I thought I'd share a few of the photos I took.

The 2013 Old Town Zombie Fest will be here before we know it. Old Town Fort Collins will, once again, be clamoring with the undead with fun for all ages. I'll admit it, I was a late comer to Doctor Who. I just started watching it on Netflix this year, but have become a full-blown addict. At the 2013 Denver Comic Con we not only saw a big blue Tardis, but a plethora of dressed up Doctors, companions, Daleks, weeping angels and the like. We even found a faceless Rose! (And, of course, more 'Who' merchandise than I could comprehend.)

The game Borderlands 2 has spent a lot of time in my Xbox 360 console. So, one of our days at the 2013 Denver Comic Con we decided to gear-up, Pandora style, as Salvador the gunzerker, Lilith the siren and a Psycho Bandit. We even ran into a couple that came as an epic Maya the Siren and Zero the assassin.

Yes, I'm a big Firefly fan. Yes I wish, they'd bring it back. Yes, I know most characters in the show are tough to dress up as because they wear mostly "normal clothes." But that didn't stop the wife and I from dressing up as Kaylee Frye and Jayne Cobb for one of our days at the 2013 Denver Comic Con. (We even ran into a nice Lady Malcolm Reynolds.)

Life of The Party, a costume shop in Old Town Fort Collins was in danger of having to close their doors forever. But today they announced that they have been sold! This means they will stay open for business and move to a new location.

The Ultimate 80's Party is coming up on March 30th in Old Town Fort Collins and I have been mulling over ideas of what I should dress up as. Last year I did the 80's rocker thing, while Derek pulled off Labyrinth David Bowie costume. I'm still trying to figure out what to do this year, but here are 10 costumes I hope to see some of YOU in at the party!

Halloween has come and gone for this year and I made it through the "costume season" with only five costume changes. (I told you I love dressing up!) Shaun of The Dead (repeat), zombie Albert Einstein, Bob Ross, Wayne Campbell of Wayne's World (repeat) and my wife and I finished up the Halloween season as Kara Thrace and Samuel Anders from Battlestar Galactica.
