The 2011-2012 basketball season came to an end for the Colorado State men today in the form of a 58-41 loss to Murray State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. Colorado State University has named Jim McElwain as the 20th head coach to lead the Rams' football program. McElwain was signed to a 5-year, $1.3 million contract. The 49 year-old coach most recenly served as the offensive coordinator at Alabama for the last four years. McElwain will remain on Alabama's staff through the national championship game on January 9th.
