The 2011-2012 basketball season came to an end for the Colorado State men today in the form of a 58-41 loss to Murray State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. The Rams kept it close for the first half before the MSU Racers pulled away. Murray State moves on to face Marquette on Saturday.

The 49 year-old coach most recenly served as the offensive coordinator at Alabama for the last four years. McElwain will remain on Alabama's staff through the national championship game on January 9th.
