Call Me Maybe

We don't know how this makes us feel. Basically, we're just glad we're not angry. This lucky genius has taken a part of our childhood and, rather than ruining it, changed it in a way that doesn't fill us with boiling rage, which is usually what happens when we hear anything 'Call Me Maybe' related these days.

Just when you thought 'Call Me Maybe' was gone forever, it comes back again, like a terrible, terrible ex you hate, but you only live four blocks apart so what are you going to do? This time a group of guys from Denmark are playing it on bottles. Of course they are. It kind of reminds us of those pan flute subway busker guys, but less depressing. Enjoy!

It had been quite a run for the Carly Rae Jepsen hit 'Call Me Maybe.' But the hold the song of the summer once had on shower-singers and lip-synchers everywhere has faded as the weather has turned cold. However, the Canadian singer's earworm got a bit of a reprise last night at the recording of  Comedy Central's 'Night of Too Many Stars.'

Do you remember those cds of dogs "singing" Christmas carols? Apparently, dogs aren't just limiting their singing skills to carols anymore. I don't know if it is because I watched this at 5 in the morning or what but I was entertained and I laughed.

It seems like the parodies and covers of 'Call Me Maybe' will never stop. This time the USA swim team that is going to represent us in the 2012 Olympics in London are getting in on the action. Its fun but it seems like the male athletes may have been forced to participate. :)

This song continues to get cover after cover. The latest installment is a little kid using the tune of "Call Me Maybe" and applies farm life to it. Its creative, catchy and a little cute.

Here is yet another perfect example of someone who had way too much time on their hands. Somebody took the time to go through the 'Star Wars' saga, that's right, all 6 movies, to find and cut snippets to make the Carly Rae Jepsen song, "Call Me Maybe".

The popularity of this song keeps on going. Sesame Street has jumped on the 'Call Me Maybe' wagon with their parody 'Share It Maybe'. Cookie Monster is of course singing the song and it is about what else, cookies.

I have seen a lot of videos regarding Carly Rae Jepsen's hit song 'Call Me Maybe' but none quite like this. His name is Ben Howard and his cover of this song is haunting and amazing. I think the combination of his voice, the guitar and of course the cello make this cover one of the best I have heard. What are your thoughts?
