This is a little ridiculous and a lot of people are mad at the school and I can kind of see why.

Erin Cox is a 17-year-old honor student and captain of the volleyball team at a high school in Massachusetts. Or at least she was.

Erin got a call from a friend who was at a party and asked her to come pick her up because she was drunk. Erin, being the good friend that she is, went to the party to grab her friend and ended up getting stopped by the cops that were there breaking up the party. She explained that she had just shown up and needed to grab her friend. No big deal right? When the school found out, they stripped her of her captain title and suspended her for 5 games.

Why did the school take such a drastic action when Erin had nothing to do with the alcohol or the party? Apparently, the school was enforcing it's zero tolerance policy with alcohol and drugs. But she had nothing to do with it! The school said it doesn't matter. Stupid!

Erin and her friends have started a petition to try and get her reinstated. She goes to help out a friend so she doesn't drive drunk and ends up getting punished!
