Steven Tyler Doesn’t Want To Hear Aerosmith on Idol

I've never been a fan of suck ups or teachers pets but I agree with Tyler on this one. Besides, who would have the nerve to attempt singing an Aerosmith song in front of the legend?

Steven Tyler tells TMZ.com that the current contestants on "American Idol" should think twice about singing any Aerosmith songs on the show.

When asked if contestants get bonus points for taking on his songs, Tyler said, "Never. I look at them twice and say, 'Don't even try it, don't even.'"

But Tyler didn't seem to care much in regard to contestants singing a song by fellow "Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez, as he asked, "Has anyone done that yet?"
