We’ve all heard of people coming up with strange, outlandish and absurd excuses for speeding. But this is the first time I’ve ever heard of someone trying to get a cash payout for pulling over.

A Myrtle Beach woman led police on a high speed chase, and called 911 to tell them that she’d pull over if…they gave her $300,000.

Say What?!

WYFF reports the 37-year-old was spotted going over the speed limit around 11:30 at night and wouldn’t pull over for police. She led police on a high-speed chase through town and used her cell phone to call a 911 dispatcher and told them she’d only pull over of they gave her 300-grand.

That's right up there with telling your boss you're not coming to work unless he or she gives you the year off, or telling your landlord you won't pay rent unless they give you the house.

As you can guess, the police had no intention of paying this woman for breaking the law. They chased her until she hit a dead end and stopped in a driveway where she was arrested and charged with driving while impaired. And she already has another DWI case pending against her.

I guess the "impaired" part maybe explains her string of logic in asking for cash for pulling over.  Let’s hope she is only allowed to ride the bus while under the influence from this point on.
