Smoking Age Raised to 21 in Apsen

The Aspen City Council has passed an ordinance this week that will raise the legal age of purchasing tobacco products from 18 to 21.

The ordinance is aimed to help deter tobacco addiction with younger adults. Here in Colorado, is the first city to enact a law raising the age for tobacco products to 21 years of age. The law will take effect on January 1st, 2018.
