If you bought any Spence and Co. smoked salmon at King Soopers stores in June, you might want to check and make sure your fish hasn't been recalled.

According to CBS 5,the seafood could be contaminated with some nasty bacteria. Read on to find out exactly what smoked salmon is on recall.

The bacterium that could be in the packaged smoked salmon is listeria monocytogenes (Which can cause diarrhea, fever, nausea, and/or vomiting and might resemble a gastrointestinal illness. In severe cases it can cause death).

No illnesses have been attributed to the bacteria yet, and the contamination was found on a routine inspection.

The company is also recalling and Spence and Co. Ltd. brand smoked salmon trim sold in 8-ounce packages in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Colorado, Wyoming and Utah between June 22 and 29. It was distributed through grocery chain Krogers Co. and its King Soopers brand.

The packages bear lot number 6704701.

There is also a recall on Wellsley Farms brand smoked salmon sold in 16-ounce packages through BJ's Wholesale Club in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Ohio.

Today is a good day for me to not like seafood!
