Six-Year-Old Dies in Weld County Crash – Eight Injured
One person died and eight others were injured in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 85 in Weld County Saturday morning. According to the Greeley Tribune all transported by ambulance to North Colorado Medical Center. 6-year-old Valeria Conteras-Holguin of Greeley died at the hospital.
The accident was reported about 8:40 a.m. near Weld County Road 42, near Gilcrest. The southbound lanes of the highway were closed until 1 p.m.
According to Colorado State Patrol, the crash involved a semitrailer truck, a sedan and a pickup truck.
