The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for much of northeastern Colorado, including Weld County. The severe thunderstorm watch will be in effect until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Severe thunderstorm conditions could produce a few tornadoes, scattered hail up to the size of limes and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour.

The potential thunderstorms could affect up to 1.7 million people, 573 schools and 30 hospitals.
