Green Bay Packers fans will have to decide just how deep their allegiances run ahead of Sunday’s (Jan. 18) NFC championship against the Seattle Seahawks as one Wisconsin radio station has banned all music hailing from the Emerald City in advance of the game. That’s right, no Nirvana, no Pearl Jam, no Soundgarden -- those bands and more will all be absent from 94.5 the Lake's airwaves.

“To help change the karma and give the Packers all the support they need for Sunday’s big title game, 94.5 the Lake has chosen to ‘Say No to Seattle.’ No Nirvana, no Pearl Jam, no Heart, until the Packers beat the Seahawks on Sunday,” the station wrote on its website.

Banned artists will also include Jimi Hendrix and even the Dave Matthews Band and Paul Revere and the Raiders (who aren’t technically from Seattle).

“There’s a wealth of music we’re not playing,” 94.5 the Lake morning host Danny Clayton admitted (via KOMO News). “It’s been a lot of fun, but it’s amazing how rich your music scene is [in Seattle].”

Meanwhile, Seattle fans are presumably still enjoying the Wisconsin sounds of Bon Iver and the Violent Femmes.
