Rappers Leave Song Behind as Evidence After Robbing Music Studio
Two men who consider themselves 'rappers' entered a recording studio in Maryland and robbed the joint. But these wonder-crooks took the time to record a song before their robbery and left it behind.
According to ABC News,
The men recorded a song called "Larry Hoover," for the notorious Chicago gang leader, before allegedly robbing three people in Copy Catz studio in Laurel, Md., at gunpoint.
After their little recording session the crooks went out to their car, got their guns and robbed everyone in the studio at gunpoint.
Here is the catch, because they knew the lyrics to the "Larry Hoover" song, police are fairly certain that they were from the area. That area does not have a very large hip-hip scene, thus they should be identified quickly because of their voices.
I'm not a veteran criminal (obviously), but I would think that recording myself inside a place before I robbed it might be a bad idea. If court TV has taught me anything, any kind of recording of yourself during a crime tends to be decided pretty quickly, and very rarely in the favor of the defendants.
