R.E.M. Wants You To Remix Their Music

As Cain told you in one of his previous Blog posts, R.E.M. has a new album coming out called “Collapse Into Now”  due March 18^th. But, if you have any skill with mixing or editing music R.E.M. wants your take on one of their new songs. 

On the official R.E.M website they have uploaded 16 raw tracks from the new song “It Happened Today” for you to download and remix to your heart’s content.  All they ask is that you post your remix back to their website so they can hear the magic you’ve made with their song.

“We are posting them here for you to download, remix, reimagine, remake. They are in AIFF and Garageband formats, so pick what works for you and get started. We have set up a page at Soundcloud.com for you to upload your results. Have a blast!”
