Need comfort food? Yeah, us too. Northern Colorado businesses have had to change how they operate through the COVID-19 quarantine, but here's some good news: You can still help support locals, and you can still have a Vern's cinnamon roll.

Vern's has been open since 1946 in Laporte, and in 1976 it began serving arguably the best cinnamon rolls in the area. The restaurant has made it through a devastating fire in the '90s, and now, it is facing a pandemic, but the grills are still going.

'All of us at Vern’s Place want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the support you all have shown us this past week,' the owners shared on Facebook. 'As a community we must all band together and support each other through this trying time. We will continue to do and be our best as we navigate our way through this.'

Vern's is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily serving a curbside menu — and trying to keep up with cinnamon roll orders.
