While none of us expected the Coronavirus and the COVID-19 pandemic to hit the United States as hard as it has. It has left many people without jobs and businesses struggling to survive during this very difficult and unusual time we are all going through.

Throughout this process, we have all been asked to practice social distancing to stop the spread of the disease. But some Colorado residents have had enough and they are ready to "ReOpen Colorado". That is what the protest on Sunday is being called by organizers.

According to CBS 4 Denver, there is a protest outside of our state capitol on Sunday to have Governor Jared Polis to reconsider the stay-at-home order that is currently in place.

There have been similar protests like this that have been taking place around the country, at this point this is the first of its kind in the state of Colorado. While there have been rumors of a similar protest taking place in Grand Junction we haven't heard any specific details as of yet.

Participants at the Denver protest on Sunday are being asked to show up no later than 1 p.m. and remain in your cars throughout the event to still practice social distancing. Protesters will be honking their horns, decorating their vehicles, and making signs to promote their cause.

Colorado's current stay-at-home order was put into place on March 26th and is set to end later this month on April 26th.
