Power Outage Emergency Hotline: 866-260-4024

This number has been established to alleviate issues with calls originating from the Fort Collins area about power outages.  The Poudre Valley REA and Xcel Energy are out in full force trying to restore power to those who are still without it. Broken trees and heavy snow could lead to more outages and those agencies call centers have been flooded for the past 30 hours or so.

Poudre Valley REA crews worked late into the night Wednesday to restore power to member consumers after the heavy snow. During the night electricity was restored to more than 5,000 people as the storm abated. As of this morning approximately 2,300 homes and a few businesses remained without electricity.

The Carter Lake area west of Loveland, several hundred homes near Kersey and remote locations in Red Feather and Crystal Lakes are the most affected by power issues right now. but there are other scattered outages.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused so many folks and appreciate the patience and understanding of our members during this weather emergency. We urge everyone to avoid downed power lines or any areas where trees are in contact with lines or other electrical equipment. The safety of our consumers and our crews are the most important consideration as we work to restore power.
