Poudre Canyon Campgrounds Scheduled to Re-open June 1
In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, campgrounds across Colorado have been shut down with an expiration date of May 20.
Now, officials have begun planning for the reopening of our beloved hiking trails, picnic areas and campgrounds.
Forest Service Officials have set a projected re-oping date for the campsites in Poudre Canyon and on Cameron Pass of June 1, federal officials said in a news release.
As reported by the Coloradoan, some facilities will remain closed as employees prepare to maintain the area with appropriate protective equipment and cleaning supplies.
Forest Service Officials ask visitors to recreate safely by planning ahead, preparing for limited or no use of restroom facilities or garbage collection and to follow CDC coronavirus guidelines.
