Places to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Northern Colorado
Although many of the festivities took place over this past weekend, Thursday is officially St. Patrick's Day, which gives you one last excuse to put on your green and get out to celebrate.
Whether you plan on drinking plenty of pints of green beer, tipping back shots of Irish whiskey and Car Bombs, or stuffing as much corned beef and cabbage in your stomach as physically possible, here are a list of bars and restaurants around Northern Colorado that will be throwing special St. Paddy's Day parties on March 17. Wherever you do decide to go, here's hoping that the luck of the Irish spares you from having a hangover Friday morning. Erin go Bragh!

William Oliver's Publick House
2608 South Timberline RoadNothing is better when it comes to celebrating St. Paddy's Day than having corned beef and cabbage in your belly, lots of shots of Irish whiskey, and being surrounded by men in kilts. Good news, because at William Oliver's Publick House, they will have all of the above available throughout the day on the 17th, as well as a bag pipe band beginning at 9 p.m., and Horse & Dragon Brewing Comany's Fire Captain's Irish Red on tap too. The bash kicks off at 11 a.m.

Lucky Joe's
25 Old Town Square, Fort CollinsJust because their parade was last weekend, doesn't mean the party is over! Stop by Lucky Joe's to grab a bite to eat off of their special St. Paddy's Day menu, featuring fish and potato dishes, and corned beef being served up in all sorts of delicious ways. There will be plenty of Guinness to go around, and rumor has it, they make a pretty mean Car Bomb too. The pub opens at 10 a.m., with live entertainment beginning at noon.

Lunch starts at 11 a.m., featuring a special Irish menu with Shepherd's Pie and...you guessed it, corned beef and cabbage. They are even offering Irish Car Bomb chocolate cake and a single malt scotch bread pudding - YUM! Pappy's Corner Pub
1027 West Horsetooth Road #111, Fort CollinsPappy's is the only place in town where you are guaranteed to get a Dublin Lawyer at your table. Well, maybe you could find an attorney with Irish roots at one of the other bars, but the Dublin Lawyer is actually the name of a lobster dish with an Irish whiskey cream sauce, served with peas and carrots – a.k.a., the pub's specialty. Their Reuben sandwich is also to die for, and they will have drink specials starting at 7 a.m.

McClellan's Brewing Company
1035 South Taft Hill Road, Fort CollinsWith an entire menu that pays tribute to the McClellan family's Irish/Scottish heritage, you really can't go wrong with whatever you choose to eat or drink here on St. Patrick's Day – however, I recommend giving Momma McClellan's special slow cooked corned beef and cabbage a try. Plus, they will be offering $4 house pints, $3 Car Bombs with a house brewed Oatmeal Stout, and they have an Irish Red on tap that's as smooth as Pierce Brosnan.
