Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life. But it's hard to enjoy yourself with a nearly $12,500 hospital bill hanging over your head as a result of a wild bachelor party.

Kaiser Health News reports Cameron Fischer of Loveland was out with his friends and they made the rounds in the Old Town section of Fort Collins. They indulged and partied into the early morning hours.

When Fischer woke up he couldn't keep anything down and had a hangover for the ages. The bachelor party happened just 48 hours before the wedding so on the advice of his fiance, he went to a Thornton emergency room to get rehydrated. Fischer left midway rehearsal dinner.

The resulting bill was $12,460 which was actually twice as much as the wedding cost. It was after 7 p.m. so all the local urgent care centers were closed so he went to a free-standing ER and was out the door within 45 minutes. He was given two bags of saline and a dose of anti-nausea medication and started feeling much better.

He was able to go on and enjoy his wedding day with his wife but the cost seems a little excessive, no?
