Colorado Is Great For Denver Nuggets & Basketball Fans
For only the 5th time in franchise history, our Denver Nuggets are headed to the Western Conference Finals. The most two recent times we've been knocked out by the hated Los Angeles Lakers, and guess who we're playing in this year's finals? Yup... The Lakers. The good news is that for the first time in forever (if ever), we've got home-court advantage, and this Nuggets team plays pretty spectacularly at home. Having a solid NBA basketball team is one of the mean reasons why Colorado is such a great place for basketball fans, but why else?
Why Is Colorado A Good Basketball State?
With basketball being the second most popular sport in the country, our friends at WalletHub set out to find the best cities in the entire country for basketball fans. They looked at each city's NBA team, NCAA College teams, and more, and came up with the conclusion that Colorado is a great state to live in if you love basketball.
Denver Is Colorado's Top City For Basketball Fans
With the Denver Nuggets being on fore these last five or so seasons, it's no surprise that the city was ranked as the 26th best city in the country for basketball fans. Boulder made the Top 300 at number 126 because of CU Buffs basketball and Fort Collins came in at number 146 thanks to CSU Rams basketball. Greeley came in at number 204 and Colorado Springs rounded out the Colorado cities at number 253. Here's the full map below.
If I may be so bold, when the Denver Nuggets get their parade this summer, Colorado will be an even higher destination for basketball fans as this team is about to be more beloved than ever before. No superteam, all drafted and homegrown, as it should be. Go Nuggets!
