If you didn't think Fort Collins already had a ton of different options for the bar goers, well... one more won't hurt.

This one, however will provide easier access to the bar scene for residents of Loveland and South Fort Collins. Kongis the new bar that will open it's doors at the former location of Fox Bar which burned down in August of 2011.

Tony Campana, his son Michael and long time business partner Chris Brown are the excited owners of the new bar and have quite the experience when it comes to nightlife. The three already own two bars in Old Town Fort Collins, The Drunken Monkey and The Yeti.

“Downtown is a great place, but we wanted to try to do something new,” Mike Campana said. “We’re not going for the downtown clientele. It’s another option for people who live on the south side of town.”

The three owners hope to be opening doors sometime in April after a liquor license review and renovation of the building.

Kong will not only be a stop for those looking to grab a few drinks but will also offer quite the food selection from Consuelo's including breakfast burritos starting at 6:00 am.
