I love music, particularly live music. I love radio, I grew up with all the local radio stations and being born and raised in Northern Colorado, if I were to move I'd be homesick for them as much as the mountains or Colorado itself.

I chose radio because I have paralyzing stage fright when it comes to playing music. With radio, I still get to be involved in the music industry but more behind the scenes.

To think that I have actually completed this goal I have set for myself is a little incomprehensible. After 4 years of practicing, not even getting a chance in my first attempt at getting on air; having a second attempt and getting more positive, promising feedback but not having anything follow through; I finally, on my 3rd attempt took a chance, and landed it.

After 4 years of trying to accomplish this goal, I couldn't just let it go, couldn't take no for an answer. When I truly asked myself one day, "Can you live without a career in music?" My answer was immediately "no", and that's when I knew I had to give it one more shot. If it was another closed door then I would knew that path wasn't for me and I'd move on, but at least I would know for sure, with no regrets.

My first time being on air was exciting, nerve-racking, but completely awesome as well. I loved it and I'm very excited to be apart of radio and this radio station. Aside from getting the opportunity to be surrounded by music, my favorite part of this job is the people I have met and the kind hearted things I have witnessed.

I am very happy to still be in music, I am very happy to finally be here, I am very happy to be apart of all of this. I'm Kalyn and yes, that photo is how you can catch me driving 70 percent of the time, along with dancing and singing to my steering wheel.
