Its Monday and once again time for movie review Monday. Over the weekend I saw the new Katherine Heigl flick, 'One for the Money'. It is about an unemployed lingerie seller who decided to go to work for her cousin as a recovery agent a.k.a bounty hunter.  She ends up chasing after a cop, who is also an ex-fling of hers and who is wanted for killing an unarmed man. Sounds entertaining enough and honestly it is kind of chick flicky, but I didn't mind that. What I did mind was the fact that it felt kind of like a "made for TV" movie. The acting was good but not amazing and the narrative seemed very cheesy at times. Now, I know that this movie is based on a best selling novel, the first in a series of 18, so maybe something got lost on me for being one that has not read the book. I don't know. Parts of it seemed extremely cheesy and others seemed like there should be more going on, and I wish that they had explained the character 'Ranger' a bit more.

There were a couple of funny lines, especially from the grandma, but over all I wasn't too impressed. I would say if you are a fan of the book or Katherine Heigl then you will probably want to check it out. But, overall I give it 2 out of 5 handcuffs. To me, this would fall under the  "rent" category, just my opinion.
