I haven't been paying too much attention to the militia that took over federal land in Oregon, but one of the occupiers has challenged a Presidential hopeful to a sumo match. This situation has apparently come to an end, as reports tonight are stating that the authorities have taken the leader of the militia into custody. However, before this situation came to a close, one of the men challenged New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to a sumo match.

According to the Huffington Post, the man issuing the challenge was Kelly Gneiting. In his challenge video, he pretended to be Christie's older brother, and stated that if the Governor beat him in just once, out of ten matches, that the militia would leave the federal lands. But if Gneiting won all ten matches, he would get to roll Christie down a set of stairs in a sleeping bag. Apparently this all stemmed from Christie calling for the government to "enforce the law, and to deal with the armed takeover."

Even though this situation seams to be coming to an end, I highly doubt that the Governor would have ever excepted the challenge. Not only would accepting the challenge be unbecoming of a Presidential candidate. But also, as it turns out, the 400 pound Gneiting is a multiple-time U.S. sumo champ.
