Things got exciting when Meow Wolf announced a Denver installation opening in 2021. We got even more psyched when a Meow Wolf ride at Denver's Elich Gardens opened up in April, showing off the trippy neon artwork MW lovers have come to love from its artist collective.

While we wait for the Denver exhibit to open, there's a family-friendly event coming to the Denver Zoo, called Zooscovery Maker Day...so get ready to get weird.

The Know reports that the event will be held on August 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and "kids and adults will be able to make animal masks, egg carton creatures and soda bottle bubble art. There also will be a group project: creating a papier mâché lion."

You can then buy tickets to watch a documentary about how Meow Wolf was created, starting at 6 p.m. Viewing party attendees will also be able to enjoy appetizers and live DJs while meeting "animal ambassadors". Maybe...an actual wolf?
