Comedic actress Melissa McCarthy showed off an absolutely gorgeous and completely glam new look on the cover of the November 2013 issue of ELLE. It's the mag's Women in Hollywood issue and is an honor she shares with Penelope Cruz and Reese Witherspoon, among others.

The always funny McCarthy, known for her bawdy sense of humor, her deftness for physical comedy, her uncanny ability to carry a comedy film on her shoulders and her curvy figure, stunned in a billowy yet tailored green coat paired with a voluminous 'do.

With her hands stuffed in her pockets, McCarthy's gaze is averted away from the camera and one eye is concealed by her sideswept bangs. There's a serious element of mystery and mystique with this cover.

We're so used to laughing until our tummies hurt whenever we see McCarthy in a movie. This still shot allowed us to pause and appreciate her on a whole other level.
